MCX Super Animation: Professional Smart Retargeting Guide

Follow this professional four-step pipeline to seamlessly transfer high-fidelity motion data to your custom character armatures using our advanced Matrix Offset Algorithm

1. Initialize Animation Library

The process begins by establishing a bridge to the centralized MCX database. Click the "Load Library" button to scan the file. The system will perform a metadata scan to fetch all available Actions without overhead, ensuring your scene remains performant.

Smart Retargeting Workflow

Step 1: Establishing the library link and fetching animation metadata.

2. Select Animation Target

Once the library is synchronized, browse through the generated list of animations. The interface categorizes motions to help you quickly identify the specific movement required for your character's current sequence.

Step 2: Browsing and selecting the target motion capture data.

3. Preview Selected Motion

Before committing to the final retarget, utilize the "Preview Selected" feature. This instantiates a Ghost Rig—a wireframe reference that overlays your character. This allows you to evaluate the animation's timing, range of motion, and frame boundaries within the 3D viewport in real-time.

4. Execute Smart Retarget

If the preview meets your requirements, click "Retarget". The engine will calculate the Matrix Inverse Offset to preserve your character’s unique anatomy (e.g., hunched posture). It then executes a Visual Bake, generates a dedicated NLA Track, and automatically purges the Ghost Rig to keep your file clean.

Workflow Complete

Your character is now fully animated with optimized keyframes and zero orphan data.
